The Charlotte Straker Project

Charlotte Straker Website Design Northumberland

The Charlotte Straker Project is a care home in Northumberland that relies on donations to provide residential, nursing and respite care. Their old website looked bland and uninviting, so they wanted a complete redesign.

Project Brief
The Charlotte Straker Project is a care home in Northumberland that relies on donations to provide residential, nursing and respite care. Their old website looked bland and uninviting, so they wanted a complete redesign.

Role & Goals
I was asked to create a friendly, engaging site that communicates the charity’s mission and encourages support. The aim was to organise a lot of content in a way that’s easy to navigate.

Process & Solution

  • Developed a warm colour palette and inviting design to make the site more appealing.
  • Reorganised the layout and architecture to help visitors find information quickly despite the amount of content.
  • Added a promotional video on the home page to engage visitors and showcase the care home’s atmosphere.
  • Included donation calls to action and clear contact information.

Outcome & Benefits
The new site paints a more welcoming picture of the care home, making it easier for families to learn about services and for supporters to donate. It has improved engagement and trust.
